tyvek beads

tyvek beads

I already had some tyvek paper painted so these beads were a quick half hour play this afternoon after I had finished work.

I always get stuck with "Well - what am I going to do with them now??!!"
I think I will just make them so I can have fun making them and so I can enjoy looking at them!!

If you want to see more detail - click on the picture (that will take you to flickr) then click on the "all sizes" button above that picture.

I'm making some out of straw...will try to remember to upload them when my computer and camera begin talking again. :(

I was just introduced to the wonders of tyvek about a month ago at a symposium...I'll have to try the beads.

I think they look great just like this. The composition and colors are beautiful. Just sew them down and add an interesting border.

Fiona,

Take a couple of those beads and sew them onto one of your bookcovers. then take a couple more and string some pretty ribbon through them. The ribbon/bead set can be a bookmark in the beaded bookcover...

(thinks: hey this would be the perfect holiday gift for friends!! Where do I get directions for making those bookcovers?)
