nesting boxes mini quilt
I have been invited to have 3 pieces 8" x 10" for a exhibition / sale at the a local Arts Centre gallery.
Thought it would be easy. Wrong.
Gonna have a play over the weekend, I had a play last night and this emerged... not sure that I like it - it grew inro something I was not intending it to be, think there are actually 2 quilt ideas that need to be on separate quilts - back to the drawing board!

Not that you asked but maybe you could use the darker color in the egg shapes on the golden side. That's what I'd do. Not that you want or need to do that. Just a suggestion. Love lots of ideas going on at once, myself.
Congrats on being invited to show! Isn't it difficult to make something specifically for an exhibition. I always have trouble with that.
I think this one works anyway - remember as an artist all you can see in your own work is all those little imperfections or other ways you could have gone.
I really like the way you have put all of these 8x10s together. I hope the exh went well and your contributions were well received.
