I wanted to do something small this weekend to try and get me inspired again - so here it is... a small notebook cover.
Quilting inspired by a walk at the beach with the patterns of foam left by the waves on the sand.

All I managed to do creatively today was to dye this small piece of fabric, I just made up a couple of tablespoons of dye and played with that - just needed a break in my day!

Every week on the Artists Way you take yourself on an Artists Date - something that you do by yourself and basically have some fun with your "inner child / artist".
As a child I loved to play in the garden with picking flowers and playing with them, so this is my play in the garden for this week!

The book is basically a 12 week course in "discovering and recovering your creative self" with weekly reading and tasks. A lot of fun as well as hard work.

I have done The Artists Way before, about 4 years ago and it made a huge difference to my creativity and what I though about me being a 'creative".

Had some fun with making a beaded charm bracelet over the holidays. I received these beads as part of a prize from a Quilt Show for my 5 Trees quilt.

It is ... oh so long since I have posted, got plenty of excuses though!!
Anyway I miss not posting and miss all the wonderful feedback so I will be trying hard!
This is a quilt I finished in time for Xmas for a friend of a friend. She wanted a poppy theme so these are my idea of abstracted poppies.
