play time
I wanted a break from all this quilting so had a play from an article in a magazine I have out from the library.
I made a layer of acrylic felt, gold lamme and 3 layers of organza and pinned that to the front of my prepared ATC. I then stitched my design from the back using gold thread in the bobbin.
The excess fabric was then cut away and the edges melted with a soldering iron.
This is my first attempt at anything involving shiny, metal fabrics and heat - so my effort is a bit clumsy... but I can see me wanting to play some more.

Welcome to the Artful Quilters blogring! I love all your colorful ATC's and your experiment from yesterday. I played around with melting stuff yesterday too - isn't it fun?!
